The TEC Fog Puffer™ Kit is a simple visual diagnostic tool for locating air movement and leakage paths in residential buildings. Developed by Gary Nelson, this kit creates a controlled puff of fog using Propylene Glycol, helping weatherization crews, home performance contractors, energy auditors, and building diagnostics professionals see where air is moving during inspections or pressure testing.
Unlike large theatrical foggers or complicated smoke testing setups, the Fog Puffer is compact, handheld, and designed for quick field use. It can help identify common leakage points around penetrations, assemblies, duct connections, bypasses, and other areas where visual airflow confirmation is useful. The kit includes the puffer body, batteries, cartridges, USB charger, PG fog liquid, and filling accessories, giving users the core components needed to start testing.
