The Mini Fan Blower Door System with DG-1000 Gauge is made for airtightness testing where a full-size blower door fan may be more capacity than the job requires. Instead of using the larger Model 3 fan, this kit uses a lightweight Duct Blaster® fan to measure smaller leakage ranges with better control. That makes it especially useful for high-performance homes, small houses, individual apartment testing in multifamily buildings, and LEED-related testing where envelope leakage is expected to be low.
The kit includes the core components needed to run blower door tests with a smaller fan setup: Duct Blaster fan, fan speed controller, DG-1000 pressure and flow gauge, aluminum door frame, fabric panel sized for the mini fan, tubing, flow rings, gauge accessories, and carrying cases. It measures approximately 10 to 1,500 CFM, with optional Ring 4 allowing lower measurements from 2.4 to 25 CFM. The included DG-1000 adds touchscreen operation, fan speed control, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and Ethernet connectivity, giving building performance professionals a compact but capable system for low-flow envelope diagnostics.
