The Mini Fan Blower Door System without Gauge is a compact airtightness testing kit for professionals who already own a compatible TEC pressure and flow gauge. Instead of using the larger Model 3 blower door fan, this system uses the smaller Duct Blaster® fan, making it well suited for tight homes, small houses, apartment testing, multifamily units, LEED projects, and other low-leakage building envelope tests.
This BD8-KIT-002 configuration is best understood as the no-gauge version of the Mini Fan Blower Door system. Your company sheet identifies it as a Mini BD package with Duct Blaster fan, ALS40-96 aluminum frame, and DG1000 board/bracket, but no gauge. That makes it a practical option for energy auditors, HERS raters, weatherization crews, and building performance contractors who want the mini blower door hardware without paying for another DG-1000.
With the Duct Blaster fan, this system is intended for lower-flow airtightness testing than a full-size Model 3 blower door. Public Mini Fan system listings describe a measurement range of approximately 10 to 1,500 CFM, with optional Ring 4 supporting lower-flow measurements from 2.4 to 25 CFM.
