Product Description
There are over 80 million electric clothes dryers in North America. Most dryers run on a mechanical and timer-based control without a sensor. Hence, the dryer continues to run even after the clothes are dry. With this mechanism, clothes are routinely over-dried and huge amounts of energy are spent for more tumbling in the dryer than needed. By installing the TrickleStar DryerSaver, it turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry which conserves energy and saves money over the regular timed drying cycle.
HOW IT WORKS
The DryerSaver features a sophisticated sensor that detects the temperature and humidity in the dryer exhaust air stream. When the exhaust air reaches a specified level of dryness, the DryerSaver turns off the dryer. The DryerSaver consists of three parts:
- Controller
- Duct adaptor
- Temperature and humidity sensor
