The Minneapolis Blower Door™ Wide Single Hole Panel from The Energy Conservatory is designed for blower door testing in wider door openings where the standard single-hole panel may not provide enough coverage. It keeps the same one-fan setup used for a Model 3 or Model 4 blower door fan, but adds extra panel width for use with a commercial frame kit.
This red panel is made from heavyweight coated nylon treated to reduce airflow through the fabric during testing. Velcro strips help secure it around the outside of the blower door frame, while the elastic cord sewn into the fan opening helps create a snug fit around the blower door fan. It is a practical accessory for energy auditors, weatherization crews, HVAC diagnostic contractors, and building performance professionals who need a wider single-fan panel without moving into a two- or three-fan setup.
