Ideal for both new and replacement wall installations, this 4-inch white plastic exhaust hood features an 11-inch pipe designed to fit standard 4-inch openings. The unit utilizes a spring-controlled damper that automatically opens under exhaust pressure from a dryer or bath fan and seals shut when not in use to block outdoor air and debris. Its removable screen provides a net-free area of 12.5 square inches, which increases to 17 square inches when removed to minimize back pressure—though regular cleaning is essential to prevent lint buildup. Constructed from UV-resistant polymer resin to combat sunlight fading, the vent can also be painted if prepped and finished with a plastic-specific coating.
