How It Works
The Niagara 1.75 gpm Earth™ Massage Chrome Showerhead is a non-aerating, low flow showerhead (Flow Control Technology), which offers 9-jet turbo massaging sprays:
  • Non-aerating means air is not mixed into the water stream, as it passes through the showerhead; as a result, less temperature is lost between the showerhead and you.
  • 1.75 gpm low flow means you will save up to 5,475 gallons of water per year! That's approximately $107 in electric and $68 in gas water heating!*
  • Flow Control Technology means you will have consistent, even pressure regardless of water pressure; in fact, it means greater force at low pressure.
  • 9-jet turbo massages mean you enjoy the feeling of a higher flow, luxury showerhead at home.
  • In a nutshell, it means you will get superior performance, along with greater water temperature and flow control, while enjoying maximum energy savings.

Showerhead GPM - What Is It and Why You Should Pay Attention to It
1.75 gpm Showerhead Savings
To consider the water savings or return on investment from a 1.5 gpm showerhead , consider this: an older showerhead is typically 3-5 gallons per minute and though that may not seem like much, these numbers represent the amount of gallons of water used per minute and not per shower. Running this showerhead at full flow will result in the use of 30-50 gallons of water within 10 minutes. The Niagara 1.75 gpm would only use 17.5 gallons in 10 minutes. The water savings amount up to 32.5 gallons of water per person. Assuming 10 minutes showers for a family of 4 (and teenagers typically use a lot more)….this would represent a savings of 130 gallons in 1 day. Or 47,450 gallons each year!
