| Conventional dryer vents can allow hot air into your home during the
summer months, and cold air in during the winter. This Heartland Dryer Vent Closure will reduce unwanted air infiltration, and keep out pests and rodents as well.
The vent will remain closed unless the dryer is in use. When the dryer is on, the floating shuttle underneath the visible hood rises to allow warm air, lint, and moisture to escape. It is made of high impact ABS plastic, able to withstand temperatures from -148 degrees Fahrenheit to 230 degrees Fahrenheit. It will mount easily on siding, brick, or cement, and is designed to work with a round 4 inch diameter exhaust duct. This Dryer Vent Closure includes an optional spring that may be installed to assist with ventilation if the vent is connected to a particularly long exhaust vent, may be painted if desired, and the top can easily be lifted off for cleaning.
