This Lights of America ballast conversion kit is for used with a 30 watt Lights of America fixture that has a defective ballast. It allows you to avoid replacing the entire fixture, and just replace the faulty ballast/lamp unit.
To Install:
- Turn the fixture’s power off (shut off the circuit breaker and switch)
- Loosen the screws of the existing fixture that keeps the ballast/lamp holder in place.
- Loosen and remove the wire nuts, then remove the ballast/lamp holder.
- Reattach the wires to their corresponding colors (white attached to white and black attached to black) to the ballast conversion kit using the wire nuts you have.
- Line up the mounting holes from the ballast conversion kit to the securing screws inside the fixture, and tighten it.
Do not attempt to install this item if you are not comfortable working with the wiring, and seek the help of a professional electrician. Please note that this ballast conversion kit is not for use in fixtures that use lamps other than the Lights of America 30 watt circular lamp.
