How to Install
Optional: small towel/rag and pliers/wrench
- Remove old showerhead
- Clean existing shower arm: Using a brush, thoroughly clean the threaded area of the shower arm.
- Cover shower arm with a cloth, then affix vice grip pliers securely to the shower arm approximately one inch above the showerhead attachment nut.
- Fit a crescent wrench to the showerhead attachment nut.
- Maintain a firm grip on the vice grip pliers and turn the crescent wrench slowly in a counterclockwise direction, thus removing the existing showerhead.
- Flush out shower pipe: After the old showerhead is removed, turn on the water and allow to run for 5 to 10 seconds; this will flush out any residue that might have come loose inside the pipe.
- Prepare shower arm: Wrap tefl on tape 1-1/2 to 3 turns clockwise around the threaded tip of the shower arm.
- Install new showerhead: In a clockwise direction, screw new showerhead onto the taped portion of the shower arm; lace cloth inside the crescent wrench grip area and tighten
