“Convenient way to monitor and project energy costs and find out what your electric devices cost to operate”
Highlights
Watts Up? PRO ES Meter can log and store 8,000 to 120,000 records of real-time usage data in memory – that's 4x the memory size of the Watts Up? PRO Meter – AND provide all of the features Watts Up? PRO Meter does:
- Allows for memory-stored data to be downloaded to PC computer via USB cable
- Comes with PC software that creates graphs and device profiles, and does calculations
- Settable for auto or user-selected intervals of recording
- Requires no battery, which means data is not lost if power is lost
How It Works
Electronic Educational Devices' (EED's) Watts Up? PRO ES Meter (Model 82756), much like its counter part, the Watts Up? PRO 99333, is a power analyzer, watt meter, and electricity monitor rolled-into-one. In addition to all of the functionalities Watts Up? PRO provides, Watts Up? PRO ES logs and stores four times more real-time records (of the 18 values listed below) in memory, and allows for those records to be downloaded to a PC computer via a USB cable. (If you have an Apple/Mac computer check out Watts Up? .NET Meter.)
To setup and use the Watts Up? PRO ES, which also resembles a small telephone answering machine like Watts Up? and Watts Up? PRO, simply: plug it into a three-pronged grounded (120 VAC) electric outlet, plug an electric device into it, then turn on the electric device to see an instant snap-shot or aggregate of the following values (read definitions at Energy Monitor 101: Glossary of Terms):

Watts Up? PRO ES's Unique Features
In addition to all of the standard features Watts Up? provides, like Watts Up? PRO, Watts Up? PRO ES:
- Records data as fast as once per second, so you can see the load profile as it changes over the course of the day, week, etc.
- Stores over 120,000 records – 4x more what Watts Up? PRO can store, and esentially the only difference between Watts Up? PRO and Watts Up? PRO ES – and power profiles of multiple devices
- Provides auto or user selectable sample internals (time between records) between one second and one day
- Includes USB cable and software to download data to a PC computer as well as create data tables, charts, graphs; do calculations; and export data:
- Payback Calculator estimates the time required for a new energy efficient appliance to pay for itself
- Logging Interval Calculator helps you determine what the logging interval will be based on how long you are logging
- Requires no battery, so data is maintained even if power is lost (non-volatile memory), which comes in handy when performing audit of multiple devices
- Can be used with Watts Up? PRO RT, a software that logs usage data directly on your computer in real-time (refreshed every second) and provides alerts, alarms, and additional graphing options
- Access to a forum where users can swap information pertaining to the creation of code, which supports real-time logging

Same as Watts Up? PRO:
- Start the “Watts Up” application on the PC.
- Select “Meter settings” and select the “Logging” tab/page.
- Enter the desired interval value (the value in the “duration” box shows the amount of
time the meter will log at the interval value).
- Click the “Send to Meter” button.
Warranty
- 1-Year Warranty valid from date of purchase.
- Simply return the meter to the place of purchase, along with proof of purchase, for a new meter or credit.
* Accuracy is of the displayed value, not the range. Some devices claim a smaller number for accuracy but it refers to the range. For instance, a specification of 0.2% of the range sounds good, but it is actually 3.6% of the display (.02* 1800= 3.6), which is a worse accuracy.
