Technical Notes
- May be used with standard electronic incandescent wall dimmers.
- If this bulb is used at too low of a dimming setting, it may have early failure as it does not perform optimally at “nightlight” levels.
- Dimmable setting should be used more like a 3-way: good (50%), better (75%), best (100%).
- Approximate initial lumens after 100 hours operation.
- DULUX EL units cannot be used on dimming circuits (unless the lamp is labeled dimmable), emergency exit fixtures or lights, electronic timers, photocells, lighted switches or any other switches that do not meet UL20 Sec. 7.6.15.
- In outdoor applications, use only in enclosed fixtures to avoid exposure to weather.
- Never disassemble or modify product.
- Install or remove unit from fixture by grasping plastic base.
- Best performance achieved when operated at 77° F (25° C).
- The life ratings of fluorescent lamps are based on 3-hour burning cycles under specified conditions and with ballast meeting ANSI specifications.
- If burning cycle is increased, there will be a corresponding increase in the average hours life.
