This flame-tip-shaped compact fluorescent bulb is particularly suitable for use in decorative wall sconces, some ceiling fan fixtures, and chandeliers. It is ideal for dimmable fixtures. With an 25,000 hour rated life, it is likely to be years before you need to change these light bulbs. This 3 watt bulb is approximately a 15 watt incandescent equivalent. The diffuser is frosted, but not so frosted that the spiral of the fluorescent tubes can not be seen when illuminated. This will provide for slightly more light than a fully frosted diffuser.
