The Par20 bulb can last from 20,000 to 50,000 hours. Because the lights last so long, the need for regular replacements is decreased. These bulbs are much more energy efficient than their halogen equivalents by far. For instance, while the standard R20 reflector uses 30 watts of energy, the GE par20 bulb consumes only 7 watts of power. That’s a 77% reduction in energy use from just one bulb. In addition, the same LED Par 20 contains no mercury or lead.
Flood lamps are used in applications requiring a narrow beam of light focusing on a specific area. The Par20 bulb is applied on lawns, for city lighting jobs, hotels, and meeting rooms among other places where focused lighting is required.
