The A19 LED light is not only more energy efficient than an incandescent, allowing between 80%-90% in energy savings, but has been proven to last as much as 10 times longer than a compact fluorescent bulb, far outlasting an incandescent equivalent by far. In addition, the LED light does not get particularly hot, as it generally creates 3.4 btu’s per hour, while the incandescent lighting produces 85. As a result, LED globe lights do not distribute as much heat to surrounding areas.
Similar to other types of lighting, the LED A19 bulb is available in a variety of wattages and colors. The wattage system used for LED A19 bulbs differs from that of the standard incandescent bulb.
