Low Voltage Buyers Guide
The low voltage thermostat is the one that is most commonly found in homes. The use of voltage is much less than that of the line voltage thermostats. Low voltage thermostats run on an average of 24 volts. Unlike the thickness of wires on a line voltage thermostat, the wiring on a low voltage thermostat is similar to that of a telephone.
A low voltage programmable thermostat allows for a variety of settings to be used throughout the day. For example, some allow for programming certain settings for the weekend and others for the weekday. Low voltage thermostats at Conservation Mart are digital, with specific thermostats having a touchscreen.
