The energy saving MR16 bulbs have a GU5.3 base. These two-pin connectors make suitable replacements for less energy efficient lamps. The MR16 LED lamp can last for as much as 25 times longer than the typical halogen LED MR16 lights. In addition, they can consume up to 80% less energy. This decrease in energy consumption assists in lowering the energy bill.
The LED MR16 light can use as little as 3.3 watts of energy. This is equivalent to a 35 watt halogen lamp. Because these MR16 bulbs do not produce as much heat, they can be installed in areas where you need to be aware of the temperature.
